What I Remember About The Album Then:
How unbelievably cheap it was.  It was a ton of bands -- some whom I'd heard of, others I hadn't -- for something around $8.  What I was looking for was something new...and I found it.  Up till this point, I'd been kind of "eh" about Alkaline Trio...but the two songs on this compilation made me reconsider and try them again.  They're still one of my favorite bands.  Plus, it introduced me to Hot Rod Circuit -- who also remain one of my favorite bands of all time.  I own three of these Vagrant Compilations, this was the first I'd purchased, and it's still my favorite today.

I can remember burning various songs on this album on mix CDs, which I stumble across from time to time.

Sure, at this high school period in my life, I was secretly listening to Britney...but this is more of the music that defined my life in high school.  Not that obscure, but obscure enough.

Like I was.

What I Think About The Album Now:
I still love this mix.  I didn't think it was possible to still have these songs hit me as hard as they did then, but they do.  This album is fast when it starts to slow and slow when it starts to get fast.  I love it.  It's like it just picks you up and carries you along for the ride.

Today I drove around on my lunch break and just listened to these songs as if I'd never heard them.

They still make me smile.

Notable Tracks:
They're all really great in their own way...but if I must...

Above, I've bolded my favorites, italicized ones I really like...but listen to any that I haven't done anything to.  They're really worth a listen.
